Lanvin. Has landed in H&M. I have been waiting for it. So did all.
Bryan Ferry. Is back with "Olympia". I have been waiting for it. Probably majority did.... Track 5: "Shameless", please. On repeat.
Hennes & Mauritz have made their best project since they've concubated with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004. However, Karl has said that he will never work with H&M again, despite the success of his creations that season. Accusing the Swedish retailer of "snobbery" for producing minimal numbers of his designs, which sold out in a matter of hours when they went on sale. He said it had defeated his intention of making clothes available to the thousands of people who could not afford to shop at Lagerfeld Gallery, Chanel or Fendi. Thank you, Karl, I do remember sweating in the Oxford Street store like an otter trying to get THAT little black dress, see below...
Tiny fingers crossed for winter 2010, for H&M - a fast fashion brand, that is struggling sometimes to move the designs from catwalk to store in the fastest time to capture current trends in the market.
Lanvin is a good injection, it feels like a shot of pure lime juice That wakes me up and makes my eye balls sharp....Intricate trimmings, virtuoso embroideries and beaded decorations in clear, light, floral colours. Gypsy likes. A Bloody Lot.
Although i've spotted some similarity with Stella McCartney's Summer Collcetion 2010, which was pleasantly unusual - frilly thrills, flamenco hippy chics.
The lovely Natalia in McCarntney
The lovely Lanvin for H&M.
And here is the must see trailer. http://www.lanvin.com/#/en/lanvin-today/lanvin-and-HM/the-show
As for Lanvin 5th sense, I'm looking forward to explore it until a coffee jar is brought to my wise Greek nose, to neutralize the euphoric wonders: "My sin", "Rumeur", "Pretext", "Scandal". Yep, yep...
"My Sin" was created for Jeanne Lanvin by the mysterious Russian perfumer, Madame Zed (!), about whom nobody knows nothing. It's considered one of the most unique fragrances. An animalic chemical based on heliotrope (plants turn their leaves to the sun) was used.
Off for a bourbon...
Thank you Bryan, Thank you Alber Elbaz...,
